Roy van Vessem, Ecosse Garden Rooms Founder and Director of Lakeland Verandahs Northern Scotland, had the notion to establish a decking and fencing business during the global pandemic. Specialising in recycled and low-maintenance products.

Roy joined the Lakeland Verandah's franchise a couple of years ago and is making a name for himself as their most successful franchisee when he noticed momentum building and a massive uptake in homeowners making the decision to transform their outdoor spaces.

With years of experience building garden rooms in his homeland of Holland, Roy saw a gap in the market for high-quality, solid outdoor structures that would provide Scots with a sheltered space from which to enjoy the landscapes that Scotland is so blessed with.

Using premium, UPVC and aluminium materials, innovative design, modern production and assembly techniques, and tailoring every product to each customer's needs, we install quality, bespoke products that will provide many years of enjoyment.
From patio awnings, veranda sun protection, screens, pergolas, louvred roofs, external blinds and outdoor pods, we can design a product to suit your lifestyle and outdoor space.
